ZUKEN ELMIC developped the first domestic real-time OS 17 years ago. Since then, we diligently keep on improve our products. The accumulation of our technologies in the real-time OS forms our foundation and confidence and supports today's ZUKEN ELMIC' business operation. Furthermore, it is leading us to new business, such as new products or corporate alliances.
Our original real-time OS "ELX Series" has been adopted by NEC as the standard operating system of its FA PCs, and we have over 300,000 licensing agreements. This year, we have released a new version of the ELX Series appling ITRON, for the embedded systems. This achivement has opened up a path to new business development. More specifically, the close relationship between CPU and OS in embedded systems has brought about an increased collaboration between ZUKEN ELMIC and makers of semiconductor manufacturing equipment, thus reinforcing our OS sales channel. Furthermore, the technologies we accumulated through OS development efforts have produced products such as "Kasago TCP/IP" and "Accel-μ". The deveopment of tools speeding up the Windows system gives us a platform for cooperation with Microsoft.
