Accel-Linux provides a solution to realize real-time capabilities
in the embedded Linux with the hybrid architecture of ITRON-specific
kernel and Linux kernel. It allows an OS environment to be built
to take advantage of each kernel such as ITRON's outstanding real-time
features and Linux's network functions and GUI.
Accel-Linux is designed based on "Specifications
for hybrid architectures of Linux and RTOS" developed by Japan
Embedded Linux Consortium (Emblix).
No alteration of Linux kernel core
and ITRON's functions are necessary.
Able to utilize a wide variety of
software resources of each kernel
Programs can be developed in a usual
way without being conscious of the coexistence of two OS
Provides smooth information exchanges
between both OS with our own OS interface technology.
