AT-COM/V53, PC-COM/V53, PCI-COM/V53 These boards powerfully support high-speed communications on PCs in combination with communications control software. These boards come in two types according to the interface: XX-COM/V53A2 for RS-232C interface and XX-COM/V53B2 for RS-422 interface. Each type has three versions: PCI bus, ISA bus for DOS/V, and C bus for PC98.

The COM Board Series products feature a 16MHz V53A CPU, 64 to 512 Kbytes of ROM, an FIFO unit with built-in 64-Kbyte memory, 1-Mbyte local RAM, and 2 serial I/O channels. They reduce the CPU load on your machine, making it practical to meet the high-end needs including multiplexing of communications. The COM Board Series products implements high-speed serial transmission between a PC and an external device. The operation is independent of the main unit. The main specifications are common to all the boards of the series. Multiple boards can be installed on one PC. (The number of boards depends on the number of free slots of your machine.) ZUKEN ELMIC provides XX-COM with FIO2 drivers for the following OSs. Using the FIO2 drivers makes it easy to develop application software.
